What's The Point of Wireframes
Building a good product is a lot like building a house. You have a vision in your head of what you want the end product to look like, how you want the product’s flows to go and where you see each element going. When it comes time to start building however you need a visual understanding and agreement of how everything will fit together so that the team is always on the same page. This is where wireframes really shine and can make or break a product.
Helping Clients Communicate Ideas
From time to time we will encounter a client that has an idea they are desperately trying to describe. While we love hearing the concept and trying to understand the various accompanying hand-motions, they often fail to properly convey it. Rather, their ideas could be visualized in the form of basic wireframes, simple sketched-out flows or organization charts.
Wireframing an App
At its simplest, a wireframe is a visualization of how content will be displayed on a screen. Typically it is rendered in black and white or shades of grey. This is done so that the focus can be on communicating content structure and the hierarchy of information.
