Building Mapping Applications with Django

In this talk, given at the San Francisco Django Meetup group's latest meeting, Stan Knutson discusses building mapping applications with Django. He outlines some of the key challenges in building mapping applications and delves into the gory details around getting Django Rest framework and Django/PostGis to perform well on larger maps.

Stan is a co-founder of Pow Wow Energy and has been using Django for five years for building mapping and data science applications to help farmers save water and energy, and improve their crops.
