Privacy Policy

Effective December 11, 2015

At Yeti, we know you care about your personal information, so we have prepared this privacy-policy (our "Privacy Policy") to explain how we collect, use and share it. For us, "personal information" means information that identifies you, like your name or email address. Any information that falls outside of this is "non-personal information." As used below, "Yeti Services" means any website or application provided by Yeti.

We may need to change this policy from time to time. The updates will be posted online. If the changes are substantive, we will announce the update through Yeti's usual channels for such announcements such as blog posts, email updates and/or notices on Yeti's website. Your continued use of the Yeti Services after the effective date of such changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes. To make your review more convenient, we will post an effective date at the top of the page.

1. Information We Collect

We learn information about you when:

  • You choose to provide Yeti with information. For example, you may submit information such as your first and last name, telephone number, physical address and email address when creating a user account or utilizing the contact feature on Yeti's website.

  • We or our service providers gather information regarding your use of the Yeti Services.

  • We may use cookies, clear GIFs, third party analytics providers (who may place cookies or clear GIFs on your device), device and software information, carrier and connection information, referral URLs, ad data, and IP address and standard web log information for functionality and to better understand user interaction with our products, services, and communications. We may combine and store information about you provided by third parties with other information we may have already received or collected from you. Our third party providers may collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites. Our privacy policy does not cover the use of tracking tools from third parties. We do not have access or control over these third parties.

  • If you do not want information collected through the use of cookies, there is a simple procedure in most browsers that allows you to deny or accept the cookie feature. Note that certain features of our products and services may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

2. Protection of Your Personal Information

We believe we use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft and unauthorized access, use and modification. Unfortunately, no measures can be guaranteed to provide 100% security. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee the security of your information.

3. Use of Information Obtained by Yeti

We use your personal information:

  • To provide, understand and improve the Yeti Services.

  • To send you information you have requested.

  • To alert you to the latest developments and features on the Yeti Services and to notify you of administrative information, such as security or support and maintenance advisories.

  • To prevent, detect and investigate potentially prohibited or illegal activities, including fraud, and enforce our terms.

  • For any other purpose that you authorize.

4. Sharing of Personal Information Obtained by Yeti

We may share your information:

  • When we have asked and received your permission to share it.

  • When you use Yeti Services to share information. Some Yeti Services may provide the ability for you to share comments, content and information with Yeti, other users, or the public. You should be aware that any such information will, by virtue of being shared, become accessible by others, and Yeti cannot control what others do with that information. We are not responsible for the information you choose to share with other users or the public through the Yeti Services.

  • With companies or individuals who help us provide and improve the Yeti Services or manage our relationship with you. For example, we engage service providers to provide telephony services (e.g., to call or text users of the Chelsea Handler: Gotta Go application), cloud data storage, marketing, advertising, customer relationship management and customer service, and analytics regarding use of Yeti Services.

  • For reporting or audit purposes. We may provide data to business partners for reporting or audit purposes.

  • When the law requires it. We may be required to disclose personally-identifiable information pursuant to lawful requests, such as subpoenas or court orders, or in compliance with applicable laws. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any legal defenses or objections that you may have to a third party's request to disclose your information.

  • When we believe it is necessary to prevent harm to you or someone else. We will only share your information in this way if we have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of you, our other users, Yeti or the public.

  • If our organizational structure or status changes (if we undergo a restructuring, are acquired, or go bankrupt) we may pass your information to a successor or affiliate. We may also share your information with a proposed new owner while they are evaluating our business and in connection with borrowing money or issuing stock. In all of these cases we would require the persons gaining access to your information to agree to keep it confidential and to use it only for evaluating whether they will proceed.

5. Other Things You Should Know

  • Third party links. The Yeti Services may contain links to other websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites or services. We encourage users to be aware when they leave the Yeti Services to read the privacy statements of other websites or services that collect personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by Yeti via the Yeti Services.

  • Do Not Track. California Business & Professions Code Section 22575(b) provides that California residents are entitled to know how we respond to "Do Not Track" browser settings. Like many other websites and online services, we do not currently alter our practices when we receive Do Not Track signals as there is no consensus among industry participants as to what "Do Not Track" means in this context. To find out more about "Do Not Track," you may wish to visit http://www.allaboutdnt.com/.

  • Policies Concerning Children. If you are under 13, we don't want your personal information, and you must not provide it to us. If you are a parent and believe that your child who is under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@yeti.co to have your child's information removed.

  • Changing or Deleting Personal Information. If you want to make a correction to your information or have any questions about our privacy policies, please contact us by email at support@yeti.co. You may request that Yeti delete your personal information by sending a request to support@yeti.co. Yeti will implement reasonable efforts to delete personal information, though there may be some delay in deleting such data, and Yeti cannot guarantee complete or comprehensive removal of the content or information you may have posted or otherwise made available publicly on the Yeti Services.

  • Opting out of Marketing Communications. You may opt out of marketing communications by sending a request by email to support@yeti.co.
